My sister’s vet said before first season, old vet I knew always said not before they had their second season – give the bones and muscle time to develop 😉

Agree with others – fully mature at least – i have boys – don’t do bitches because of seasons.  😉 And bear in mind spaniels can get funny fluffy coats after being done.  🙂

    Hi,

Aunty Bev will also be able to give insight into the finer points of speying for little pip too 🙂

Is pipin getting braver now bless her – personally i think she’s gorgeous and as long as Rustmeister is “done” and you’re gonna be careful she’ll be better left alone 🙂

Let me know if you fancy a walk 🙂

Thanks for advice everyone. Rusty will not leave her alone . He is trying to get her all the time. He has been done thank goodness. Pippin and Rusty came in from garden today , Rusty had blood all over his feet and Pippin was covered in it from head to toe. My 8 yr old daughter was very upset cos she thought pippin had been hurt. 2 baths later and I am keeping a very good eye on them. :'(

ooh sorry i completely missed that she was in season NOW !!

If you are going to keep her entire she needs to learn to clean herself so dont be too quick with the towels (obviously if shes covered – yes lol!!)

thats all i know about seasons – mine were both already speyed when i got them.  i guess rusty in his element as i remember he is quite a strong character – he challeneged bonnie at first didnt he ?  but accepted william (who is happy to be bottom of pack).

I think you can get “go away” spray or something for them – hopefully ppl with bitches will come along !! 🙂
