Digging holes, someone suggested putting pooh in them? Pepper? A water balloon that will pop?
And would you beleive a mouse trap and a pretend drowning ::) Dont worry I’m not planning on drowning my dog or a mouse trap. Euthenasia maybe ;D

Let her have her own digging corner, failing that take away her spade ;D Most grow out of it- Willow dug holes in our lawn as a pup, now she hates getting her paws dirty ::)

best thing to do is to discourage it altogether.  Best way to do this is to be present when she’s doing it. This means you can’t just open up the back door and let her out in the garden but you have to go and supervise.  Same idea as getting them to poo in a specific spot, it takes a bit of time but the main thing is discourage by stopping in the act.

    Thanks guys ;D

Suzandtehdiva- it was suggested you fill the hole up with water and hold their head under! I dont know who ever thought of that stupidity or how the dog would learn from it. Muppets.

Thanks Nick-thats what we have been doing for the past 3 weeks. Hopfully it will sink in eventaully. We get about 2-3 half started holes a day. Mind you we get to stop about 7 or 8 if we’re quick enough!
