ive been meaning to start this off for a while now and because im board i think im going to do it now
i wanted to start a thread off about books and stuff what you all like about them and what you dislike about them

So here goes just going to do a few for now

Jean Donaldson – The Culture Clash
I like this book because it goes along with my own personal beliefs and ethos on dog training, its easily picked up, modern thoughts and just over all a damm good book
    BUT
its really really hard going very indepth and just quite hard really

Pamela Dennison – The Idiots Guide to Positive Dog Training
i cant praise this book enough – its just really dead good – in every day english (american) easy to understand and follow and its got loads of little pictures in it too. The only problem i have with it is its very american if you read it or own anything out of the FOR DUMMIES series you will know what i mean

Pamela Dennison – Bringing light into Shadow
One of my fav books fantastic

on talking terms with dogs – turid rugaas

    +
a very short book about dogs speaking dog and how turid has managed to learn and communicate using some of the communication that dogs give out.ย  an interesting read ๐Ÿ™‚

too much about wolves – although they follow a pack structure domestic dogs are not wolves

but much of the pack behaviour is inherent to this day

    hi,

yes i am not saying its a bad book because it talks about relevant things – just that it makes them appear irrelevent to the novice by talking about wolves not dogs when it could be interchanged ๐Ÿ˜‰

Have you read “the Velveteen Rabbit” by Margery Williams ( Or How Toys become real).
Wish the same sentiment was true for dogs.
