done those aswell, no difference in treat, he snaffles and attention elsewhwere.
other dogs – i wouldnt let other dogs near him until you can control him (ie: he is focussed on you obeying cues and not pulling your arm off :)) he will focus if you do it a) soon enough and b) with good enough treats and a clicker 🙂 promise 🙂
i agree, i know i am doing it wrong here. he was socialised until 12 weeks then nothing, so he approaches dogs like a 12 week old in an 8 month (big) body. he needs to be ‘told off’ by other dogs for his approach to them which is pretty full on. also, it seems to me that he believes he is ‘the man’ outside.
you need to get a “wait” and “release” cue after that recall not just reward and let him run away again – thats not being in control 🙂
