There is a woman I forget her name who breeds and shows foxhounds and does very well with them.

However, in general they do not make good pets, contrary to what the RSPCA would have you believe re the possibility of rehoming ex hunt foxhounds.

the reasons are many and various and do not necessarily revolve around killing things.  They are usually much larger than people think, because they have been fed hunt swill and lived outside their toilet habits are usually not very nice, they are about as responsive as a wolf on their own and with nothing to do and require huge amounts of exercise to keep them sane.

Of course there ARE exceptions, but this is what they are, exceptions………
