My 6 year old Lab’s pads on her paws are so split and cracked. Does anyone have any suggestions for anything I can put on them that she won’t lick off or something. Not sure how normal this is..probably bothers me more than her. Just wondering……. Thanks
probably due to salt put down when snow was around. Val will have some witchy woo woo remedy for this.
would wash in diluted hibiscrub & put some sudacrem on it or thovaline (stuff used on baby’s botts for nappy rash) Keep herm from licking it – do it when you know you will be sitting with her for an hour or so.
Go to horse/country store and get some paw wax for future.
Just incase you are still looking for something to use on the paws then give Rhus. Ven cream a try. Its a homeopathic remedy and I find it is very good. Will not hurt the dog if they lick it off either.
