    Thats Brill news Sarah, I too dont think you could have done anymore, and I prob would have paniced and not even stuck hand down throat ??? who knows its one of those things you dont know till you in the situation!

    is there anywhere that does a doggie first aid near you? A creche near us does one a few times a year 2 hours and it just the basics bandage cuts bites etc – and they have calm dogs to practise on, but would give the confidence to know there is no more you could have done.

    futher update… saw person who actually spoke to owner today…  he said that owner said it was a twig in throat – but also that it happens quite often  ???  That does not sound right…  am hoping i see her again  :-\

    brain gone into i know this mode but then freeze….not soft palate…errrmmm something else…this is going to be a what i now call an ‘iris’ moment…after the last time i had a brain freeze re eyes and it was seeing the iris flowers in the early hours that kicked in the ahah moment…

    val help…. ;D throat…pushed in faces…not velum…jeeezzzzz i hate this aging thing…it simple to sort but hard to diagnose and often missed…….this going to do my head in all night…..
