    my next door neighbors dog was called OI used to wet my self when they called him in from the garden

    used to do a girl yorjy called spike and would go mad if u accidentally called it a boy

    used to do a dog the kids named icky sicky lol

    i do a bichon called elvis last name is king lmao

    these are just a few i do loads with ppl names like kate, brian, dave, eric

    i know dave the mini shcnauzer !!  what is it with ppl calling dogs ‘dave’ ??  lol !!!

    i also once named a dog “tiny clanger” … it didnt stick as someone came and claimed it back the next day – it was a weenie little yorkie/KCCS thingybob !

    Hond, but his names is dog  😛 . If it would have been the word dog in chinese not many would understand, but the english word ‘dog’ is universal  ::) .

    I know someone who had a Rottie called Dave and another friend who called their Rottie Trevor!

    I have to admit my own little Staffie is called Squidge!!  She came to me as a rescue called Squidgey and as I was meant to be rehoming her I didn’t want to change her name for it to be changed again a few weeks later….needless to say she stayed with me and so did the name apart from it got shortened to Squidge….sometimes she is known as Bean…no ideas where that came from lol!

    Arrg Claire, sorry, very late with this reply  :-[ .
    But uhm yes, and no, a keeshond is my language yes. It means litteraly keesdog. Kees is a name, like harry or kevin. Hond is our word for dog but the keeshond originates from Germany. However their word for dog is ‘hund’ not ‘hond’, as that’s ours….. You figure ha?
