I posted a pic on FB last week of an ear wound on one of the dogs I walk.  http://www.facebook.com/photo.php?pid=7789310&id=522467567&fbid=10150261716422568

Hope you can see that.  Anyway, the young wolfhound she lives with has become obsessed with her ear.  He’s behaving as if she’s in season (she’s spayed) he won’t rest, constantly trying to lick her ear and it’s stressing them both out.  Any idea why and how to stop it?  They’ve tried all the usual methods, distraction, training, separating but he just won’t leave it!

It’s an open wound thats why the dog is worrying at it, totally natural.
If that was my dog I would clean and dry it then super glue it back together

I agree with Val – get it closed over with glue – takes two seconds and done.  An open wound like that is risking infection.
