I thought this might be of interest to some of you, it’s a supplement that was included in the Dog World for Crufts 1958

    Hi,

thought i would add to this as i’ve found …

CH Yakee Patent Pending who has loofoo breeding back 3 generations from his paternal grandparents.  He was born in 1984 and is the most recent dog I can find still with a good dose of their breeding in him.

Tithebarn limelight (i expect a litter sibling to TH from the name and date of this info, 1959) was the standard visualisation for the breed in its day.  There is a picture of this dog here: http://www.tias.com/cgi-bin/showcase-item.cgi?itemKey=1922566344&store=/stores/doxette

This is a link to pictures of TH at crufts the year this was printed (better pics than the scan) http://www.lakeland-terrier.nl/page136.pdf

This is the whippet (including better pics aswell and a picture pedigree) http://thewhippetarchives.net/details.php?id=2524

Apart from the whippet you could show all the rest in the ring today and win with them.
I still fail to see in most breeds all this exaggeration that there is suppose to be in the modern breeds.
Some yes but far from all
