OK,  been reading all this stuff and I just have a few questions:

    1) How long (ish) does it take a bone to freeze?

    2) Do I give it to Joe frozen,  or do I defrost?

    3) If I give him an Egg – should I confine him to the Kitchen? not sure I want egg on my carpet!

    4) I’m now getting that it’s ok to feed raw chicken etc, is it still ok to feed him cooked chicken?

Bones take anywhere from 15mins to an hour to defrost, depends on size and conditions!

You can give them frozen but i usually defrost them first

I give Izzy and egg in the garden, i either throw it and smash it or give it to her to roll around, it will be messy

Cooked chicken is fine but NO cooked bones!

    🙂

I only like cooking chicken breast,  I don’t like cooking boned chicken takes to long and you never know if it’s cooked properly.

I’m lucky cause I work right next to the meat market in Brum, can’t wait for work tomorrow – doogle dinner shopping trip coming on.

I love boiling a whole chicken up for Izzy, then picking it to bits, she never leaves the cooker the whole time!  🙂

So how long do you boil a chicken for?  I just usually bung it in the oven.

just chicken breasts is not good – there is hardly any fat in them and it is fats and oils that dogs get their instant energy from

boil until it is cooked – depends on cooker – size etc – about an 45 mins is average i guess

the sort of scientific response you would expect from me  ;D

We just chuck a whole chicken in our big pot and leave it to cook – normally about 40 odd minutes.

Liz, I always freeze bones for 24 hours before feeding and you can feed frozen if you like.

Are you thinking of feeding him raw????

    eeyyyyeeeeeeeewwwwwwww

Sorry,  I don’t mind giving him things like beef, pork, chicken and lamb, but it can’t look like it used to be cutie animal.  I’m a veggie so I can’t do anything that looks like it should be in a horror movie, the meat is gonna have to come ready cut up, skinned, de-fluffed etc.
