hi all this is my first post here so please be gentle with me. 🙂
we are looking to get a retreiver in the next few months and was wondering if any of you people know of any good breeders that we can look out for.
we live in manchester and dont mind traveling for the right dog so long as it from a well respected and known breeder.
cheers for looking and please get back if you can. billybob 😉
I cannot help with a breeder as I have pastorals and toys but please make sure you see health certificates for eyes and hip scores on both the parents, if I was buying one I would want to see the whole pedigree with hip scores.
I would start by going to a show in your area look at the dogs and talk to the people with the breed shows are listed on the KC site you can also check if parents are health checks with just a name on the same site
Val
thanks val for your reply, 🙂
we will look out for shows around our area and try and get as much know how on selecting both dog and breeder.
thanks again billybob. 🙂
