Vet rang last night and said he was very pleased with her – they brought her straight out of surgery and put her on a drip. A few hours later she was sitting up right not something he was expecting so soon 😀 Probably waiting for her tea ::)
She’s going to be kept in for most of today but will let you know how she is when she gets home. She’ll have to be kept very quiet because the staples go all the way from her groin to her chest.
Lucy – are Akita’s prone to skin conditions and tumors? I’m sure i’ve read it somewhere and the amount of issues we’ve had with her skin could be to the fact that she’s half akita but also because of her bad breeding? ???
couldnt say for sure but the cross i had also had a patchy dry coat and skin problems Laura, the other little spitz type thing i had also had similar coat issues.
