Grooming Questions Thread!!

Have you got somewhere a bit higher up you can groom her – you play with her on the floor etc – she probably sees it all as a big game. If you have a little table groom her on that – just put something non slip on it – and make sure she gets a treat when shes done  🙂

yea, i have a little table she will fit on, have a bath mat for non slip that i keep in her travel box as she slides everywhere  ::)

We use trains mainly to get most places so milly goes in abox other wise she would get trampled on! (well i say box, its a cats travel case thingy)

That will be perfect hun – and remember she HAS to learn to let you groom her – I know its difficult sometimes – believe me Honey was the dog from hell where grooming was concerned  ::)

i did him its eiether like  that or shaved off they dont brush him at all and he goes in all the mud and swimming he usally has a lot more bits thinned and shaved out, i have tried to leave him completly natural but it then becomes compleatly wealded to his feet, so thats the best i have came up with so far. but i dont usally trim the feet unless asked.

but i am going to get my self one of those mat zapper things from les pooche  maybe that will help me out but as long as they like him.

We paid all that money for him to look clean and smart.. smelling gorgeous too –  then we give him the biggest beef bone he’s ever seen!  ::)

Oh and talking of grooming – in april im going to do my city and guilds exam on a cocker spaniel – the college rang me up to say i didnt need to do another one – i said i know but i WANT to. Got the cocker coming in tomorrow will get some pics of him for you all to see – not got long to get sorted- my boss will be retaking her springer exam !

Its hard to tell but still looks like his skirt is too high up  :-\ and i know hes got wet since the groom but he just looks a little untidy – the little one i handstrip still looks tidy six weeks after ive done him! Id probably tighten up his front a bit as well  🙂

They did him in about 3 1/2 hours instead of usual 5…

We’ll get him down to you next I reckon… in about 8 weeks or so?
