All results of all KC/BVA tests are published in the Breed Supplements and via this tool, whether or not a dog has been bred from is immaterial. Hopefully one would not breed from a dog BEFORE it has been health tested.
Anyone can look up the results of ANY dog, for those of us that compete in various disciplines the KC registration numbers are in the public domain.
Anyone can pretend that the dog which is submitted for testing is another dog as, unlike the continent, our dogs do not have to be chipped or tattood for identification purposes. Therefore it is conceivable and has no doubt happened that a dog that has been scored already is resubmitted under another name!
Anyone can pretend that the sire of a litter is a particular dog, only DNA testing will eliminate that worry. Litters have been bred from parents other than those written down.
Trust is the most important part of a seller/buyer relationship.
Work is under way to use the kennel name rather than the stud/kc number which will be easier but still does not rule out any of the above.
