Don’t know if you heard here – but James Wellbeloved were approached by the KC after they sponsored our Little Black Book and suffice to say we have not had another advert from either james WellBelloved or Royal Canin ever since as they wanted to show their support for the KC who did not like our Little Black Dog book!
Maybe if they hadn’t have been taken over by Mars Inc, they wouldn’t have done that? ???August 22, 2008 at 8:12 pm #66080Bevers2406Member
They were owned by Mars when they agreed to sponsor it and we showed them each page at proof stage for approval and they loved it.
It was only retrospectively that they didn’t like it – despite lots of very positive feedback from the public and vets. It continues to be very popular and well received.August 22, 2008 at 8:26 pm #66081SuzAndTheDivaMember
Why would they suddenly not like it ? I dont understand?August 23, 2008 at 7:00 am #66082Bevers2406Member
Commercial pressure. The KC did not want health problems highlighted. By leaning on our advertisers they thought we might stop our campaign. But not everyone is motivated by money.
producing that Little Black Book cost us thousands of pounds in fuuture lost advertising revenue, but it was worth every penny.August 23, 2008 at 7:20 am #66083AnonymousGuest
