i am getting a second oppinion from a different vet as i am not happy about the level of care my own vets are giving to stan.
i also have the chiro coming on wednesday
chiro came today and agreed with me that he was missaligned so will see how he goes now
blood results are back at last ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D however i have had to make an appointment to speak to the vet as stan has so many allergies :-\ but at least we are getting somewere now
thats great news kerrie
thanks will post once i have spoken to the vet
any test that is done for alergens will show positive results…even if you or i had it would….
ok here are the results:
food
borderline-positive:
fish
lamb
yeast
borderline:
cows milk
oats
rice
plus
12 positive mould allergies
2 BL-P animal

right – it’s naffing me off cos i can’t find it anywhere – but blood testing for food allergy is only meant to be 50% sensitive\specific ie fairly meaningless. food elimination trials are meant to be the way to go for food intolerances.
and if you have a shortage of vets on the island i would suggest having a word with other people with dogs, see if there’s one particular vet that’s good – in multivet pracs you can sometimes find a good vet even if other ones aren’t as good – then stick with the good one. 😉
