Why does milly snap at other dogs when she’s on a lead but when she’s off she’s happy to let them sniff her & she sniffs them & she’s great around them. Does she think she’s protecting me?

i did indeed – shout again tho if u want more info ๐Ÿ˜‰

in short – because being on a lead takes away all her options

part of it could be resource aggression, but its basically because she hasnt had the opportunity to learn that she should be handling the situation any other way.

try not to fall into the trap of re-inforcing it by giving her lots of ‘attention’ after it happens (by attention i mean naughty girlย  milly ooh your so bad blah blah… ) like is so easy to do !
