    Darcy has started coughing and then it’s as if he is going to be sick, I have had the most dreadful cough and cold this week.,could he catch something from me. what can I give him, he’;s a 12 yr old collie x

    i always think it is best to have the vets check out the oldies if suspected KC….you could put some olbas oil on his bedding but i think a check over

    Poor Darcy, hope it isnt Kennel Cough, it hasnt been that long since Misty had it.

    hi,

    i give mine a some dog milk (you can get it from tesco extra at mereway definately) with benalyn in it.

    i dont think he would have got it from you, but he could have incubated Misty’s KC 🙁

    There is no cure for KC but most dogs do not have any issues with it, of course there are other things that cause coughing such as lungworm and heart disease, hence why a vet should have a look see although generally KC is very identifiable by the type of cough but not always.

    He’s fine, he’s back with AB’s he got an injection and they listened to his chest whoch was clear, so he’ll get some nice frozen yoghurt to soothe his throat
