Be aware that according to the Travelodge i stayed at on Saturday, there is a proposed price rise for dogs coming into play from tomorrow……….

It used to be £10 per stay per dog (max 2 dogs) it is now going up to £20 per stay per dog.

I am waiting for confirmation from Travelodge it is supposed to be on their website tomorrow!

    Hi,

I suppose how “steep” it is relates to how many nights you stay as £40 for a week is good, £40 a night … mmm 🙁

apparently they charge it because of the extra cleaning ::)
think they will lose a bit of business over this.

extra cleaning ::) what an excuse – granted there may be some occasions when a dog or puppy may have left a bit of a mess but i can’t imagine it would happen often. I’ve never stayed in a travelodge with a dog before.

No way is £20 acceptable.. ridiculous! fritz would leave much less mess than a toddler…

I dont think its that excessive – everyones prices are going up – and it maybe that some dogs do leave a mes – not all owners take care to tidy like we do  🙂

I think it is excessive, if I can book a room for myself for between £9 – 29 and the dogs each cost £20 therefore I would be paying £40 for them and peanuts for me!

Novotel and Holiday Inn only charge £10 and they are a cut above Travelodge!

yep and some even have fleas for you  so they obviously don’t spend all their cleaning allowance on cleaning

Sorry but i dont think its that bad – it could be worse!

There are plenty of people who take their dogs and leave a mes im sure – dont blame them for charging – sure its a pain but i totally understand.
