A fisherman wrote to a fine lodge in the fly fishing area of Ontario to ask if his dog would be allowed to stay there with him, and sleep in the room. He shortly received this reply:
I have been in the fishing lodge business for almost thirty-five years. Never yet have I had to call in the RCMP to eject a disorderly dog in the wee hours of the morning. No dog has ever attempted to pass off a bad check on me. Never has a dog set the bedclothes on fire through smoking. I have never found a lodge towel or any silverware in a dog’s suitcase. Your dog is certainly welcome to come visit with us.
P.S. If the dog will vouch for you, you can come too.
