Sorry probably a silly question but what do you stuff a frozen kong with? I imagine it takes less time to eat. latifah can empty hers within a couple of mins.February 9, 2009 at 5:25 pm #76630dogloverwoooo!Member
You can do mashed banana and freeze it so it lasts longer. Infact you can freeze lots of things, natural yog, peanut butter etc. Stuff a pigs ear in one, that always lasts along time 😉February 9, 2009 at 5:33 pm #76631
Thanks  will do that tonight, see if she likes it tomorrow.
Banana or natural yogurt, can’t do any nuts as we’ve an anphylatic in the house.February 9, 2009 at 5:41 pm #76632Foxisle_crazyMember

She hasn’t learnt to throw it on a hard surface to make it come out quicker yet, has she? (grr!) Then he tried to do that with semi-defrosted yoghurt coz he couldn’t chew it out fast enough. In my lounge…. Nice yoghurty smelling carpet.
Grrr. (again)February 9, 2009 at 7:06 pm #76635
I’ve just bounced banana all over my kitchen, filled kong with mashed banana, put it out the way then knocked it off…….bounce…….banana…….bounce……a bit more banana up the walls, in the washing, across the floor everywhere but in the kong.

I sometimes squish lots of frozen freeflow mince in – Loki loves that – but doesn’t last long. Banana with natural yoghurt and sometimes a bit of other fruit like berries takes ages 🙂 I seal the ends with philadelphia – then freeze.February 10, 2009 at 7:34 am #76641Justine&RafeMember
Ahhhh, like the idea of seaing the ends with philly…February 10, 2009 at 8:12 am #76642SuzAndTheDivaMember

I also use Peanut Butter – but that wouldn’t work in a nut allergy house 🙂
