Everything has got a little bit heavy on here of late so here is a daft fun question for you all………

Tam after eating his dinner including the pattern on the bowl ::) comes back into the living and proceeds to wipe his face and muzzle on his bed. This is a long drawn out ritual  that is performed EVERY night.

    The question is WHY??

And why doesn’t Willow do the same?

Can I add to that – WHY does Dorain have a thing that he does where he leans on my bed and rubs himself round it – sort of like a cat but really leaning his side on it – then turns round and does it the other way?  ??? You have just reminded me, and I have wondered for years.  :-\

i used to think luci scrubs her face and body on the bed to ‘mark’ it and that benji scrubs his head after eating because he had an intolerance to something he was eating but he still dis it after every meal no matter what food so i have no idea why they do it now :surrender:

OK dogs can reach every part of their body except the face some dogs clean their face with front paws bit like cats or in the past they wiped the face on grass it’s one of the first thing my beardies do on a dewy morning is to rub both cheeks and chin in the grass then a good roll followed by a shake then off for a walk, some dogs are more domestic than other breeds Willow is so domestic she has forgotten how too or you just miss it cos she’s suttle about it
Now they like the good life sofa cushions beds etc
