Along with her owner, Chanel spent nine years on assignment in Germany, where she became adept at stealing sticks of butter from kitchen countertops and hiding them in sofa cushions in the living room, Shaughnessy said. She also liked chocolate, usually considered toxic to dogs, Shaughnessy said.

“She once ate an entire bag of Reese’s peanut butter cups, and, you see, she lived to be 21, so go figure,” Shaughnessy added.
Chanel exercised daily and ate home-cooked chicken with her dog food, but good care wasn’t entirely responsible for her long life, said her owners, who attributed God.

Great age – I know owners who have fed their dogs chocolate and grapes on a daily basis – go figure  ??? – not a chance I am willing to take.

Hope the doggie had a fantastic life – hope it skips over the bridge to chase the flutterbies.

Thing is Mudge I don’t think a lot of dog owners have a clue what’s safe and what’s not, yet they seems to get away with it!! If you or I fed anything like that it’d probably do alot of harm  ::)

For sure with Nacho – he would get whatever was going and would be ill at merest thought of it.

I hope Nacho lives well into double digits as long as he is healthy and happy

There are older dogs around it’s just that they don’t court the media.
Someone on this list had a crossbreed that was 22yrs old and I know another dog thats 26yrs old but as the owner said I don’t want his last years to be with a camera in his face
