MemberThank you all. I wish it was getting easier not harder. :'(
This was my little brother’s tribute to him:
“I am deeply sorry about Dorain’s passing. He was a ruddy good beast and I shall miss him awfully. My favourite memory of hiim will be when I once kicked a ball over a hedge by mistake and he shot of and disappeared. I called out, anxious, yet unflustered he emerged triumphantly from the neighbor’s hedge, ball in jowl. It’s amazing what dogs can do sometimes.”
And this was my Goddaughter’s:

right – it’s naffing me off cos i can’t find it anywhere – but blood testing for food allergy is only meant to be 50% sensitive\specific ie fairly meaningless. food elimination trials are meant to be the way to go for food intolerances.
and if you have a shortage of vets on the island i would suggest having a word with other people with dogs, see if there’s one particular vet that’s good – in multivet pracs you can sometimes find a good vet even if other ones aren’t as good – then stick with the good one. 😉

Memberbit more to it than that sue :-X – though i do think she is actually genuine in that she genuinely seemed to love the dogs – but when i started getting the BRS in 2003, have been fairly horrified by how many litters of GSPs she’s bred – and then there’s the dobes and bloodhounds which i don’t have in the gundog brs…. wasn’t like that when i got dorain but that was 8 yrs ago (8 yrs ago yesterday in fact :surprise: ).
